Since joining SAEGUSA & Partners, Ayako has handled a wide range of domestic and international patent matters. She assists many Japanese universities with their global patent strategies and works on Japanese filings for overseas pharmaceutical and chemical companies.

Ayako’s technical expertise spans a broad range of life science fields, including antibodies, CAR-T cells, immunotherapy, vaccines, stem cells, genetic vectors, nucleotides, siRNA, DNA cloning, amplification techniques, advanced testing and diagnostic methods, biological assays, biomarkers, genetically modified animals and microorganisms, enzymes, pharmaceutical formulations, and innovative medical treatments and procedures.
